My name is Jim Valenzuela, but around here, everyone just calls me “Mr. V.” My journey to becoming the founder of V's is a story of passion, nostalgia, and an entrepreneurial spirit. It all started with the birth of my son. Reflecting on my own childhood in Tucson, Arizona, and the special moments shared with my dad at our local barbershop, I knew that one day I wanted to create similar memories with my son. But, I couldn't seem to find the nostalgic barbershop I was looking for.

In 1999, we opened our doors in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix. From day one, my vision for V’s was clear: I was determined to provide a space where men and boys could not only get a great haircut or a traditional shave but also relive the traditional barbershop experience.

In 2003, my father's passing became the cornerstone of V's Barbershop—and I was more determined than ever before to honor the timeless bond between fathers and sons.
Our growth over the years, expanding into more than 60 locations across the United States, is a testament to my original vision. Every new shop we open carries the same ethos—the right blend of tradition and modernity, where the experience is as important as the haircut.
